I think IRC should replace the current chat system we have now. It has all of the features of the current system plus a lot more benefits. It would take about ten minutes to set up a channel and switch systems.

I support, I think it's better than the chatbox system and it would relieve the duties of shoutbox mods, which in my opinion are very unnecessary. 

There used to be an IRC channel, but it was replaced with the current chat system - so I doubt they will go ahead and change it back.... and they don't really need to anyway - the current chat system is sufficient.
