Looking to start back on OSRS and supplement manual playtime with some botting. I already have an account which also has an RS3 main character on (which I want to keep clean). If in the unfortunate event I get caught botting OSRS and subsequently banned, will this also effect my RS3 character? I'm just trying to figure out whether it's safer starting from scratch. Thanks for any help in advance!

I think both accounts will get banned. But in any case just create a new account for botting in osrs and you are good

Both accounts will be banned. 
I dont think your rs3 progress will be taken into account when it comes to appealing or preventing osrs bans either. 

As far as I've experienced there is no advantage to botting OSRS on a progressed rs3 account

Also if you want to be 100% safe only bot on proxy to hide your home ip 😉 Its possible that they ban your other account even if you are not botting on it. Its very rare though

for small scale at home botting you should be fine, but if you want to be a hundred percent safe you should use a proxy
