To start, I love the kid. He's only 14, and he got arrested today. My friend, skylar, was at my school football game today with his other friend gabe while they were drunk and high on Molly. When the game ended, he walked out to the parking lot with gabe and a cop asked what was in his backpack. Since he was so high, he said "you wouldn't like it." The cop searched his bag and found oxy,Molly, 2 grams of weed, two knives, and a revolver. He texted me today saying he's going to kill himself when he gets home. I don't know what to do.

That's so sad. Sucks to see the results of drug use 2nd hand, by someone you care about :\

Shit dude, that's terrible. Don't go to the police or anything saying he's going to kill himself, but I'd talk him out of it one on one.

Oh god, I wouldn't know what to do if my friend told me he was going to kill himself.

Best thing I would do, though, is to tell him to speak with a hotline.

If that doesn't work, try talking him out of killing himself, like all the fun times you had together with each other.

I'll tell you what you do. You call 911 and tell them your friend is about to kill himself. I feel it's someone's right to choose whether they live or die, but he is jumping to a decision with no thought. You'll live with it for the rest of your live that you let your friend die. A 14 year old won't be charged with felonies like that. He'll be alright if you help.

Call 911 and make sure they get him to a fucking hospital! Killing yourself is never an option! Omfg call 911 fucking right now! 

 

 

Also he's only 14 so he'll only go to juvy and not jail.

This is really ironic because I believe it's Suicide Prevention Week. Have the kid know his life isn't over. Like someone else said, he's not going to "real" prison and I'm sure the system will be lenient if he plays his cards right/has a good lawyer. Also, rehab? Lel.

Also, that's the really sad thing about society. I'm 16 and have never used drugs or drunk alcohol - along with never carried a weapon. All in all, good luck to him though, Hopefully he won't do anything he'll regret.

I know a guy, he is 17, and just got 18 months in jail for trafficking marijuana in school... sucks...

The police officer had probable cause, gl with that, he's not getting out of shit. Get your friend some help though man, the FIRST thing without a doubt I would do if my best friend said some stuff like that.

Sorry to hear, he won't go in jail though but his past will always be used in certain situations

I don't want this to sound horrible, but why on earth is a CHILD at the age of just 14, smoking weed, taking drugs, getting drunk and carrying lethal weapons around with him?

 

What's wrong with children in todays society?

Whats so bad in a 14 year olds life that he resorts to drugs, alchol and dangerous weapons?

I was 13 and my Dad was dieing of Cancer, I didn't run to the nearest Knife and suddenly want to get high on whatever. Nothing in life should make you go like that, the only thing that does is the "cool guy image" and it serves him right.

I don't have any sympathy for him in that area at all, I'm sorry.

 

As for him killing himself, that's rough. I'd try and talk him round if I was you, he's  got his whole life ahead of him. If that fails, ring 911 or tell his carers/parents.
