As Lukey said, if you're using ring of life option please have it equipped when starting. 

Post logger if that doesn't fix it

It uses prayer on specific tasks yes. There's no support for magic attack style since Melee is pretty much the accepted way to do slayer. Never seen anyone training magic before

Does the logger say anything and are you using mirror mode? You may need to adjust your MS settings.

Ok when you get a chance post the logger+  paint if it occurs so i can see whats happening. 
Also if you're running on mirror when it happens, try restarting the client. Currently mirror mode is buggy and we're waiting for the osbot developer to fix it. The only current solution to fix mirror mode is by restarting the client
