So recently someone using a VPN has a Skype Imposter of me called 'ScorpioZ,OSBot'

 

I'm not sure how people still fall for this, but they do. Simply check the Skype username and ask for a PM on the forums.

 

Unless otherwise posted by me, I usually will NOT buy any 07 gp/accounts (and I never trade RS3) for now, haven't for a while but now is an incentive for me not to.

Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any possesions you lose to this impostor, of course. I didn't think I'd need to add this in here but better safe than sorry. I would like to 100% assure every member on OSBot that this is NOT me trying to scam people. I have submitted a abuse request to Skype and hope that this Skype account gets terminated. Lucky I don't have a name that is easy to manipulate (no capital I's, l's, V/W, etc, etc) so hopefully this fucker won't be sad enough to try and make 5corpioz.osbot)

I was going to get around to make this scorpioz,osbot account on Skype to prevent this but I never did sadly

There's a lot of imposters again lately..

Such a sight to see when a member lies and then scams a fellow member.

Yup, had the same issue when i was in the market, people are too dumb to ask for a pm or believe it when the impostor makes a fake page with an HTML editor >_>

 

Moral of the story:

 

Always ask for a PM even if you think you are %100 sure it is the person you are talking to. If they can't PM you they are an impostor.

People just need to be smart enough to know how to check Skype usernames and request PMs.

All of the big traders out there have tons of impostors, nothing we can do about it, traders just need to be smarter about it :p.

It sucks how much some of them get away with :'(

i saw alot of this a few years ago when i was once a member of sythe. lost alot to scammers pretending to be the seller.
