I don’t think it’s a joke. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to work the way I believe you’re wanting it to. Have you used this personally?

It really just shears sheep. Take a look at the source if you want.

It looks like he wrote an entire framework of classes to work with in future bot development, but the only task included in this release is a sheep shearer.
