Bye aribot, only browsed your forums for a couple min now.

Not sure why you've had to bring the MM'ing feedback situation up in this topic...

Anyway,

Mentioning another bot is advertising? After hearing about that name, people will go onto google and start researching it. This could be detrimental to OSbot as we rely on people staying with us and paying for VIP in order to keep the bot free, so I can fully see why a warning is needed there. Just because he didnt give a full URL doesn't mean it's not advertising? I can  say RuneScape, and that's advertising their game without giving you a link or a website URL.

I believe all the staff team have a decent intellectual capacity and I believe they're running the forums pretty smoothly imo. As a person who seen as the person in charge or the one who has "power" over the users, they'll be continuously scrutinized and slammed for every little mistake they make. I'm talking from experience here, as a football (soccer) referee, I am hated and have my name dragged through shite if I make one slight mistake, and to be honest most people hate me due to the fact I have control over the game, not many people like to be controlled, it's human nature!!

Nobody is perfect. Face it, EVERYONE makes mistakes, I do, and so do you. It's got to be hard for the staff running this site, constant questions, thousands of users and then little pests breaking rules, not to mention they're running there lifes, handling school commitments/work, family, etc.

EDIT:

what kind of example are you all setting? How do you think this looks to potential VIP/Sponsors when they log on to the site for the first time, you lot all arguing and going against the staff members. Get a hold of yourself, this forum used to be sooo friendly, everyone helped each other and there was no trouble, now you're all looking for it. Stop acting like spoilt pre-teen girls, and move on.

I agree, everybody does make mistakes. But, however, when Peter made ONE small mistake, he got instantly demoted. What's happening here? There can't be bias in anywhere, and equality is a must. If this is true, a certain somebody must get demoted or somebody else should get re-promoted.

And now people wonder why they give out warning points for mentions of other competitor names.

He tried to go around a rule when he said "__bot". He obviously meant the competitor, which, for obvious reasons, shouldn't be mentioned at all around here. He rightfully received a warning.

As for your second point a MM should not be allowed to give feedback as they assume no risk in the trade. You'd essentially be receiving two vouches for one trade which gives a false impression regarding your trustworthiness as each feedback would not really be representative of a unique trade.

People should be infracted for such, as that is considered advertising.

What did you quote me for? Do you still not understand that naming the competitor on these forums is CONSIDERED advertising? Even if you did not INTEND to "promote sales or attendance" of the aforementioned bot you essentially did by naming them.

If we can't mention another community we have seen other people at than why are we even here taking this abuse, yes it could draw attention to them but there is a BIG difference between advertising and just saying "hey i saw you on ******* "  <-- which is what i said. not "everyone go to *********, osbot is gf"

Lol, it was a mere warning that you received in order to remind you not to directly name another botting community on this botting community's forums. It's not rocket science bro. The other bot is their #1 competitor and we shouldn't be talking about them on here as it's essentially an indirect form of advertising. If you would have received an infraction the first time you did it then that would have been kind of bogus.

I can understand why certain staff members are doing all of this. They are simply following rules and regulations just like what you would do in real life. This is a business after all.

Editing feedback with all these rules has proven nothing. Trusted users will be trusted and scamming users will scam. I personally wouldn't go through the trouble.
