Idk if I need a mule or if I just trade the gold over to my main

not really, I get banned drop trading, trading it over, etc. All methods basically. I do believe that multiple trades decrease the likely hood though because big time gold sellers do it so, idk.

Probably stupid to do so, but I've just been trading directly to my main for the past couple of years

It all depends on how much you are trading. If its anything under 100m you are probably in the clear. people trade bils back and forth all the time.

They can't store player IDs, so unless you're already being monitored, they wont know which account you traded with.

You guys are needlessly over-complicating things. If you have to ask, you are likely not doing anything of scale that Jagex would care about.
