He also stated that when RuneScape makes their mass bans, they do it based on UID's, not ip's.

So if you're running 50 clients using 50 proxies on 1 comp, wouldn't that mean Jagex can tell you're botting from the same comp?

Essentially that is what he was implying. Doesn’t matter how Many proxies you have, they can still figure it out. However big farmers don’t really care about bans, as they typically do F2P methods which usually have low requirements.

A way which could work in someone’s favor might be running different accounts on different VM’s.

I do believe proxies are crucial for a successful P2P farm. Yeah I'm aware of it, I probably wouldn't even use proxies for F2P. I think Jagex might use these files to keep banning you in certain situations, like being flagged after a RWT ban. Guess deleting it can't hurt.

Yeah thought about VM, probably would only consider it if I'm making a main.

how often should we do this?

I do a quick delete before starting a client up to bot, and I do a complete removal if a ban ever takes place.

i've always set random.dat to read only and deleted jagex caches when any ban occured. Will having it as read only do the same as deleting it?

Could raise suspicion if they can't access the file, but there is no proof so I'm not sure.
