Got banned, because of the client?

Featured Replies

Been botting on a new account for the past 10 days or so and about 1-2 hours at a time (never more than 2.5 hours). Switched things up to make it seem humanlike as much as possible: quests, others skills, etc. Despite this I did spend a lot of time botting my combat skills in the same place (about 4 days or so). I would say I was fairly careful, but obviously could always try harder. Anyways, I took a 2 day break to cool off and upon logging back in today I was able to play for about 5 seconds until I got logged out and an instant 2 day ban... I hadn't started the bot yet, was just about to walk to my botting spot. The ban has been dated today (13th) and not from 2 days ago when I was finishing off a longer period of botting. SO my question is, is this because of the client that they instantly banned me? Anyone with some experience or insight with this please comment, would be really appreciated so I know what to look out for in the future. Thanks!

It's always going to be partially the client due to the offense of 'Third-party client usage', but fundamentally It's just down to luck.

Were you botting f2p? Injection? Were you killing cows? Did it get stuck? Were you banned before on that ip?

What script do you use?

I've used a few but mostly Macro Killer

delayed ban. Your account was detected before logging in.

so they wait until you log in again for the ban to happen?

p2p, stealth injection. I was killing minotaurs, never saw it stuck. I'm using a vpn.

If im not mistaken, injection is easier to get banned, vpn's could have multiple people botting from them or a history of botters making you more likely to get flagged for using it (you don't have a reason to use a vpn if you're not a botter usually), someone most likely reported you, and you used a free script with 5000 people that currently have/use it. :l you weren't botting very smart, sir. If it was a clean vpn, which it probably wasnt, it's different, but then (and i don't know much about the following) I think there's a difference between residential vs commercial IPs.

ok will use the mirror mode then, didn't know it was easier to get banned :/ I don't use a free vpn, I pay monthly for mine so I don't think it's that tbh. but yeah I take on your point that the bot is somewhat popular
