Magarac
I am looking to get a lightweight, long battery life laptop for school and general use while I wait for my current strong laptop to die and then to build a PC. My budget is <= $500 hopefully. I don't need a touchscreen but it's nice; would rather have a solid build and durability. I've heard amazing things about the Thinkpad but it's lower specs in comparison to the Acers. If you have any other suggestions, please share! Chromebooks are weak af imo.
HeyImJamie
I have the XPS 13 from Dell. Super lightweight, is nice to use and looks dope but it's a little out of the price you've suggested although worth the extra IMO.
Apaec
Surface pro 4 is working perfectly for me (I know it's not one of your options though! - Maybe the new microsoft laptop?). The way I see it, it's worth splashing out on a computer (and phone I guess) as you use them on such a regular basis. -Apa

I just wanted to get a < $500 lighter weight laptop to complement the strong and expensive PC I plan on building lol. If it wasn't for that I'd def invest in a Surface or something.
