Because we have entire political parties designed to get offended over nothing 

Because words are offensive and everyone gets a participation trophy and if you say Merry Christmas you are a racist sexist homophobe. Everyone is a victim and nobody can get over things or help themselves anymore.

Multiculturalism and Internet.

There are so many ethnical and religious groups here at the Internet.

As a European I dislike this situation that is alot. For example, Finnish Police cars used to have stickers "Grey economy, black futute" a few years ago. Now they are magicly gone when we accepted 35,000 foreigners to our country. Childrens playground games are banned from public school, Pippi Långstrum is banned due to racism, Donald Duck magazines have warning stickers similiar to tobacco but to warn about racist content. And the list goes on. This just makes me so sad.

I had a great discussion on topic with my grandfather, who told me that first time he sawa black man was back in 1952 Helsinki olympics.

Now they are everywhere. I would understand if theyd come solely because their life is at line due to the war, but when I saw them protesting on TV, literally thousands of them over being served porridge instead of their traditional foods at the receiption centers I lost my faith.

I understand this, however I think it's bullshit how in 2016 they all try to look for ways to make every sentence "offensive" or "racist". Here in Belgium and Holland we had to change an old tradition because all of a sudden it was racist...

Eh people...

If you celebrate Christmas say "Merry Christmas!"

 

If you celebrate Hanukkah say "Happy Hanukkah!"

 

If you celebrate Kwanzaa say "Joyous Kwanzaa!"

 

If you don't prefer any of these say "Happy Holidays!"

 

 

 

If you get offended by any of these, you need to evaluate your life choices and figure out how you became so angry. Perhaps stop self-prescribing trigger/SJW/extreme-liberal culture.
