Idk somehow i think there should be a big flashing sign at the top of the forums that the bot is down.

I'd rather opt for something on the client that shows the status of the bot but not sure if that'd be possible

That would be even better, but in my view more difficult to implement than basic PHP coding on a webpage (I'm no scripter before people pounce) :)

it never helps lol we used to have a really big ass image that would tell you if its down or not and people still fucking made threads and 24/7 asked in the shitbox

they wont ignore it if its a huge popup that blocks the site and you have to confirm that you read it and solve 3 captchas before you can close it
