Woolly Mammoth

So in uni I have to do visual and historical research on a object. Visual research is extremely important and so I have to come up with multiple pieces of manipulating the mammoth.

I think I did alright with this piece, feel free to give me suggestions, i still got time to submit it with my other work:

Things to do:

- redo the tail.

- review whether its over edited or not.

Guys just to let you know that nothing is meant to be happening really, just the mammoth standing there.

I appreciate all constructive thoughts!

The color correction doesn't really feel fitting. I also feel like the environment the elephant is in needs a touch up and needs to stand out more.

A couple things I would remove/change:

http://prntscr.com/crdwly - this almost just looks like it was thrown on there for "effect".

http://prntscr.com/crdwq7 - these stand out way too much, I would use a different mask.

http://prntscr.com/crdxf0 - the multiple eyes or w/e they are could be placed a bit differently and they need more emphasis. the tusks are hard to see as well, try removing

the texture from them like the horns/tusks on its back.

Also, the tail is odd. I would look probably have kept that a normal elephant tail or maybe a lions tail?

Other than that, it's a cool concept and looks like it could turn out really nice.
