So I just found out that my account, which previously has a permanent ban on it last year from botting, is now only a 'bot busting moderate' ban, and I have full access to my account again.

 

Has this happened to anyone else? I find it strange that this happened.

Actually it was banned earlier this year and doesn't expire until next year. But I'm just confused as to how it went from being a permanent ban to a 'bot busting moderate'...like did they review my account and change their mind or was it a glitch...do bans just lift over time?

See that's what is so confusing to me. This has only happened to me once before, and that was back when it was RS2.

 

It makes me wonder - are there more forms of ban than just 'moderate' and 'severe'?

 

Maybe they have certain degrees of permanent ban. Like FOREVER permanent, 1 year permanent, 2 year permanent.

Arent you lucky... got a account banned from 2011 still...

This post made me check all my accounts from my original botfarm. I had one account that wasn't banned, which got me very excited. Only to find out that theres only 185k on it.

    just checked an old account of mine, same has happened to me went from major ban to minor and isnt perm'd anymore

    Thanks Unbound & 10kidswithaids. So that makes me definitely think Jagex has multiple types of Permanent bans. Interesing
