not really related to this topic, but There is not really a point in having Norton or mcafee or any other paid "anti virus" nowadays ... literally windows defender that comes with windows is better than all of those combined at this point, so don;t waste your money on stuff like that

There is no point in closing the doors, the npcs that can attack you can;t reach that door and the npc can onyl wander 1 tile out of the door, still not in reach of the others npcs

Most likely because you have hardware mouse option enabled, that uses your real mouse Disable it on the start window
