This is actually a decent pre-built for that price. What do you actually want to use the computer for? It is has a powerful CPU and chances are you won't need all the power. Also note that it does have a cheap graphics card so gaming wise it could run games on low - medium settings (roughly the same as PS4/XBone)

Programming runescape bots got me into programming a few years ago and now I am applying for a Computer Science degree next year. The only other things I am particularly good at are maths and physics but I don't think I am willing to put in the effort for a physics degree and I thinks doing only maths at degree level would be boring. I really enjoy programming and general computer stuff so I think that a CS degree is perfect for me.

Heyyyyyyyyyy. 6 of my 8 exams are maths and 2 are physics. For most of my maths revision I am doing past papers over and over. I haven't done much revision for physics but I intend to write notes for the entire physics textbook then do past papers. The Physics A level I am doing is really bad because hardly anybody does it so the revision resources available are very bad. Even the text book is very poorly written. Since it is half-term, I have been doing most of my revision at my local library but I intend to go back into my college to revise there when it starts up again. I'm aiming to do about 7 hours a day but mostly I do about 5.
