Me claiming to be the best was a joke in a first place and catastrophe and I used it to drive you all artists to participate and deliver Catastrophe the best quality work he wants. And seems like it´s working. It´s true we can´t compare tags with typography, and even with typography I suck and hate doing them.

I don´t like to sound rude, but you use way too much premade stuff on your work. You should use less textures, premade abstract textures/renders/fractals. There are multiple ways to create effects and background your self. The piece it self does not look bad, but I´d wish to see something new and some progress.

Where´s the classic look?

Stacked textures and fractals without proper filters and not well blended render is what i see this time. You should work with creating the bg and then adding only effects with fractals and pieces of texture and brushes. Now the piece is all over the place and lacks ie. Depth because of the overlayed stoof. That's something i'd work with

Yeah, it is and explained why :F freaken .gif. Got to try to change few things tomorrow or animate it with CS6 straight away. Edit; added a Still version if someone wants to compare. At the moment still one looks better.

Making animation with CS5 and above is whole different scenario. And as you can see, does effect easily on the quality. I have the right setting to get maximum quality, but creating "animaton" with "oldschool" style with CS2 and Imageready is actually not animating at all, but now we are going offtopic. The .gif it self has the bad quality. You see when saved as .gif you don´t have as many colors to go with than you´d have when saved as .jpg etc (bits). The amount of layers, the change of the colors and moving pieces in animation are also another things that drops the quality of .gif. Only thing that is bad is the glare animation, that does stacker. Could have made smoother one but with PS CS2 I don´t feel like making 100 frames by hand to make itlook smoot, atleast on free gift.
