To make your banners more appealing you can add a texture, some colors and possibly some other effects like shadows,... You can't add a .gif in the middle of a .jpg image. One image can only have one particular extension so the whole image will become a .gif. You can import the gif frames into photoshop by saving the gif, opening or dragging it into PS and editng them in your timeframe.

I'll add animals to the list. I added the most appealing themes. I'll start a SOTW thread as soon as picked a theme.

The smoke doesn't really look good and the animation of it is not smooth enough. The one without the smoke looks pretty good to me.

I don't like the color scheme and it would honestly look a lot better if it wasn't done in C4D, flat design is the future. ;)

I was told to give it that color by Maldesto and the border is exactly the same border as all the other pips since I received the original psd file. I only edited the color, replaced the icon and changed the text. Took you too long bro..

Signature of the week. It's called donating because you give something away for a good cause which is in this case the prize pool of the SOTW competition. But that's why I stated that I don't think it's going to be a success as people don't really tend to give away their stuff. At least not for a SOTW prize pool.

Oh yeah, we can do that every other week, I like the idea and it will also bring some variation into the competition.

Maybe it's not your style but I do think you can do some cool stuff with the nature theme.

I like those ideas, but I don't think the donating thing is going to be a success. We can definitely try it out though.

Before I host the next SOTW competition I will be making some adjustments to the rules to avoid a couple of annoying situations. Since the previous theme 'movies' was a bigger success than I expected I would also like you guys to suggest me some themes you'd like to see in the future SOTW competitions. So feel free to post all of your suggestions below. Currently already suggested themes are: -Anime -Nature -Video Games -Pop Art -Sci-Fi -Music -War -Smudge -Photomanipulation -Sports -Animals

There used to be an event subsection, maybe bring it back and we can host the SOTW competition there. I noticed the thread gets the most attention when I just created it because of the recent topics sidebar. After that it slowly dies because not a lot of people know of its existance so if it was not on the bottom of the forum it might help bringing it back to life.

It's much better than #1, I'm not sure if it's because of the light theme but this one has a cleaner feeling to it than the current homepage so I prefer this one.
