What would Runescape be...?

Featured Replies

If players didn't have the ability to trade, or atleast focused less on trading and more on getting supplies yourself. Idk why I thought about it but it would be cool to see RS as a survival game where you have to gather all your supplies. Of course it'd be a lot harder, but just seems fun to me. Your thoughts?

I meant like the trade limits, or are you referring to no trade what-so-ever?

No trade at all. Everyone would have to rely on themselves.

No one would ever get a 99 and there would be a lot less players. Also no one would profit from botting except to improve their skills

oh damn, i wouldn't play unless they had like cheats for it than.

In this universe. Runescape lasted hardly anytime and shut down in 2002.

A world where people can only make money by powerleveling. THUN THUN THUN, or buying accounts .

I think the game would be a lot better. It was actually intended like this, because woodcutting > fletching/firemaking. Fishing > cooking. Mining > smithing, Runecrafting > magic

Lol thought about minecraft aswell

Haha

'survival' did it for me.

Crafting your own runes to go pking?

Aint no body got time fo' dat

There's players that actually do that, they call themselves Purist. Some of the accounts I've seen are pretty impressive.

According to them, pking is a form of trading, per se, so they don't pk. :s

The game you are describing is completely different style than an MMORPG.  Runescape has no endgame, it goes on forever.  You can always be richer, you can always gain more experience, and the world is always different.  That's the allure of an MMO.
