I want to watch movies from my Samsung Galaxy S6 on my TV is this the best way to go about it?

Anyone have any experience w/ it?

Ive got one and i use it regularly with apps like MovieHD on my Oneplus 2.

Pretty decent but it depends what app you'd use to watch stuff

Yup, really simple to use

Yeah, its a hdmi with a micro usb slot on the end which you can either plug into a phone charger or the usb port in your tv/ps/xbox etc

I have tried to stream a movie through kodi genesis from my desktop to the TV with chromecast. Didnt quite work out unfortunately, the sound disappeared every now and then. Not sure if it works more stable from a mobile phone though.

I used to have similar problems but its because chromecast doesnt work well with some file types (most 720p)

couldn't you just get an android tv box? they're like the same cost as an actual chromecast itself and do so much more

Yeah, I tried streaming 1080p. maybe the newer chromecast supports better HD streaming.

dont even bother with a chromecast, get a firestick and get kodi on it mate stream thousands of movies in Hd,Mq,HQ, with thousands of streamers to stream from.

What add-on are you using with Kodi? Genesis used to be beast but it's really failing nowadays.

genesis started being an ass so I'm using phoenix add on right now
