[Client 2.4.9] Bug with setSafetyOverride()

Featured Replies

1. A description of the issue

Does not interact with the object at all when IE.setSafetyOverride is set to [TRUE/FALSE].

Simply taking out setSafetyOverride out will let it interact but who would want to do that doge.png

2. Are you receiving any errors in the client canvas or the logger?

Yes)

To see the logger, click on this button: Applic-Command-icon.png in the upper right hand corner of the bot

3. How can you replicate the issue?

Interacting with any Object (ladders, crumbled wall, gates, etc.) using InteractionEvent.setSafetyOverride()

4. Has this issue persisted through multiple versions? If so, how far back?

It just started happening when I updated to 2.4.9. Anything before that it worked fine.

Snippets Examples:

//null check
if(gate2.isVisible() && gate2.getPosition().distance(api.myPosition()) < 6) {
     if(methods.interact(gate2, "Open")) {
	//sleep
     }
} else {
   WalkingEvent WE2 = new WalkingEvent(gate2);
   WE2.setMinDistanceThreshold(1);
   api.execute(WE2);
}

interact method (edited and taken some of it out but the InteractionEvent is as follows):

public boolean interact(final Entity entity, final String option) {
InteractionEvent IE = new InteractionEvent(entity, option);
 IE.setOperateCamera(false);
 IE.setWalkTo(false);
 IE.setSafetyOverride(true); <-- this line throws error
 IE.setHover(true);
    if(IE != null) {
	api.execute(IE);
         //other checks edited out
    }
}

p.s pls go easy on me pi0v7CC.gif

Osbot #1 noob scripter ODGXmfS.gif

You mentioned to me in Chatbox that you updated your OSBot version, which has this method removed from the API. It was my fault for not giving anyone a heads up; the method was unused and only affected a very small amount of scripts.

Once again, thanks for the speedy update to your script (provided it was on the SDN).
