Targon Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 So, I have a pretty badass GPU. I also have a pretty badass CPU... My bots usually run pretty freaking smooth. However, I have only 8GB of ram at the moment. I'd only gotten 8 because I know that steam games would know to run off my GPU and RAM wouldn't really be an issue. Why blow more money on something that I won't use? Right?Well as it turns out, I've been using my computer more for botting than anything lately because OSBot and it's community is incredible, haha. (Shoutout to Khal and Czar for their excellent scripts)So, here's my question:OSBot essentially runs off of my RAM, correct? Is there a way to optimize the jar file or maybe redirect the traffic to be used on my GPU? Or am I just speaking gibberish? I'm essentially looking for a way to optimize my computer to run OSBot and possible any other process other than steam games. I don't really have time for gaming much anymore so I just like to bot, haha. Thanks in advance!~Targon
Keven Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 I don't think thats possible. Seeing that osbot clients run at 300-600mb each, if you have a or want a decent big farm you should buy another 8gb ram.
IHB Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 No because osbot runs off the CPU and is stored whilst running in the RAM, which contains all programs that are currently running, which is something only RAM can do. If you want more bots upgrade yer ram
Fade Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 osrs and osbot don't use the GPU basically at all, I don't think that would possible. Upgrading to 16GB of ram would help
Targon Posted September 16, 2015 Author Posted September 16, 2015 Thanks everyone, I appreciate it. I wasn't sure if I'd be able to allocate the GPU to be used on OSBot but it doesn't sound like it. Thanks though!
Chicken Wing Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Not possible, check this out if you want ram though 1
