yeah but you can't protect from both melee and range so its a bit of a stupid point saying 'yeah use protection prayers you'll be fine'

also he could have been pjed mid-fight in which case protection prayers wouldn't have been used even if he had 43 prayer

If you're risk fighting 20m why not do it in a very isolated area?

in fairness, on that logic. He can't use both range and melee at the same time either.
