I just began botting blast furnace for the first time ever.
I am confused with a few things.

For one, I have only been botting an hour yet I only made roughly 90k profit.
I am making steel bars, and I don't have a coal bag. I thought steel bars was 300k an hour but is that with or without a coal bag.
I am also level 30 smithing.

I don't know what I am doing wrong.
Also is coal bag worth getting?

The Paint might be wrong but it all depends on prices of coal, iron and steel bars and also the bars per hour. It has been going down since the vacation that weath took let everyone bot without being ban. so I wouldnt be surprised if it was 90k/hr but i dont do it anymore because of the low prices.

^ what he said, coal bag only increases profits noticeably when your making higher tier bars such as mith+ , coal prices up and steel bar prices down resulted in the profit going to hell.

The prices aren't what they once were, although you should be making more than 90k/hr.

I was going to make a thread like this as well, I was making ~250k/h with Adamantite Bars.

probably an issue with the paint profit counter, I heard someone said it was faulty on one of the bots. Use the pricechecker instead and calc profit by hand. It's hard for us scripters to get accurate realtime prices without a live GE API guess we gotta wait until osrs releases one

Steel bars have dropped close to 100 gp each the past month alone

coal bag is extremely usefull

there's no problem with paint profit counter, ever since weath went on vacation people have been botting the shit out of blast furnace with no bans so steel bars dropped by 100gp.  Hopefully it'll rebound 

Ugh... I don't like the blast furnace... There's too much setup and my computer is being too slow(probably because of the crap ton of people in that one space on world 358).

This is why I always liked simple gold farming methods like wood cutting, fishing, mining, etc. It's so much easier to set up and easier to keep track of profits(just need to pay off the bond). Where as supply intensive gold farming methods there's so much crap, you have to pay off and not get banned before you do.
