July 17, 201510 yr Supports (working, under development, not developed yet): Allotments Hops Trees Fruit trees Bushes Flowers Herbs Special Compost bin Fertilizer states Leprechaun Plant watchers Over a year ago I began working on a basic farm aid solely to watch over my herb crops. It was a very profitable money making business and seeds weren't cheap either. My first script worked like a charm and I could very easily know the states of my herbs: Old picture of what it looked like. There's another old picture of my Live Farm Watcher script which was an expansion of the old script as shown above. Essentially it was that, but with every other plant. It was massive. The framework behind that project was shaky and in order to run, the user would have to select the plant currently growing from the combo boxes which occupied the left-most field. It did not work well lol. Back on topic I hope to make a fully functioning farm aid that will absolutely crush RSBuddy's own. In fact, my own already beats theirs: Please note that we cannot show if a crop is diseased or not as Jagex deems this as an unfair advantage Source of quote. Also, RSBuddy's Pro Farming script is bundled in the premium package, whereas the free version only supports allotments and herbs. Once I've completed this script... Once I've completed this script, I will make it available on the SDN for free, and I may even release the API as to give other scriptwriters the chance to develop a bot for it. Also notice my swanky alert system now. Before, the older script relied on the user (me) to have the GUI positioned near my focal point, as so I can see the colours of the table rows. Now, I get sound and a sexy, intrusive notice pop up at the bottom-right. It's hella awesome! May edit post at a later date. G'night! :edit: my poor grammar in the notice displays lol. I'm an idiot -- I shouldn't have rushed them! Edited July 17, 201510 yr by liverare
July 17, 201510 yr Author Congrats, it looks awesome! Thanks One awesome thing I'm doing is to configure the break handler so that I log in for a few minutes, during which I get and update the information and throw out notifications if necessary, and then I break for 20 or so minutes. This way, I could be watching porn playing other games at the same time, and afk farming on RuneScape. Edited July 17, 201510 yr by liverare
July 17, 201510 yr Looks really good. Btw, how long did it take for you to gather the data for the current supported spots?
July 17, 201510 yr Author That little popup box looks amazing! Good job Thanks. It's actually something I made a while back, though I didn't find much use for it up until now. :P Looks really good. Btw, how long did it take for you to gather the data for the current supported spots? When I first started out, it was a bit hectic. The main problem is all the data you get; it has to be interpreted, sorted and saved. I made a patch listener for all patches, which makes it easier to keep track of the numbers thrown at you. I found a farming data dump if you want it. Yes please, it may prove very helpful! Also, who do I credit for the dump? this actually looks really nice love the icons and notifications Thanks! Simplicity is the name of the game here. There's much more data to represent (produce count, growth percentage, etc.) But the fundamentals are: where, what, when. Falador herb patch; snapdragon; ready, (for example).

Ah, the listener is actually a really smart way to keep track of the data in an organized way. Looking forward to seeing the finished product!
