Why was merccy banned?

Featured Replies

Why was merccy banned? I used a lot of the code he wrote to learn how to script with this api. Am I at any risk? (Also is this the right section? If not can someone move it?)

Lol if your code contains anything with RunTime or exec method in java OR getPassword and such... then yes.. you are at risk...

Im not sure at all, and I might be wrong, but I believe he leaked another scripter's Trade interface snippet

He supposedly made some code related to interfaces and it was apparently ripped off of Xavier's code and he tried to post it as his own or something. You're not at risk or anything I'm pretty sure he didn't exploit any code but I'm not sure what caused them to ban him...

Oh I saw the interface code. I saw his post before admins deleted it tongue.png I had no idea it was stolen though...

I saw the post last night I believe, don't think a ban was fair, should have been talked to and warned, if it could be proven it was infact "stolen", or that he tried to sell it for profit.
