I did cooking right when oldschool came out on my main (which i recently just resubbed on) and i can't remember how long it takes to go from 92-99. I remember i had it all calculated out and i'm just wondering how Long it takes and how much Money i make getting 99. 

I did 92-99 i probably 17 hours, it cost me roughly 6m at the time. Did this through making wines. Easiest 99 I ever got.

Shark are decent profit, but I would look at karams first. I know a month or two ago when I was getting 99 cooking, they were about 100-200 gp/per more profit than shark.

 

I ended up making wine at 411k xp per hour legit as I couldn't get gaunts and you still burn a massive amount of shark at 96+ cooking without gaunts. So, basically if you don't mind doing the quests (check what xp they give as you don't want to ruin an account) then shark or karam are the way to go for max profit.

This whole wine thing reminds me of bounty hunter times with brawling gloves doing this wine method stalling the exp drops or whatever.

Good times, got mad exp and tricked my friend into thinking I got banned for doing so 

 

Sharks or Karams with gauntlets are probably your best bet like rsgodd said, try which one is the best.
