JROTC is usually for making rated officers aka pilots. A02 Posted May 21, 2015 Share Posted May 21, 2015 Prior Army, Was a 92F served for 2 years and didn't opt to go back due to a lot of internal drama within the units I was placed in. (Was attached to the Aviation unit in Ft Hood, A lot of the SSGTs hated eachother and tried snaking there way by giving other platoons work so there platoons could go to the bar etc.) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Depends on the MOS supposedly, few guys in my unit were 4 year contracts but they signed on in 2012 I think, I joined in 2011 and the only contract for the MOS was 2 years or 4 years Reserve. Umbra Posted May 21, 2015 Author Share Posted May 21, 2015 Signed for 3 years and 17 weeks. (17 weeks is for OSUT). JROTC is for making people interested in the military, nothing more. I sadly only had Air Force JROTC where I was at and hated it. Only did it to get a pay raise when I joined the Army. The LT.
