Ideally I want to use the mirror client on this vps but currently can't. Any suggestions on how I could fix this anyone else recieve similar errors?

Depends is java installed in the browser you would need that to run mirror mode in the browser, also the proxy problem is it a socks 5 proxy? be sure all the information you are putting in on the proxy authentication is correct, but it looks like the problem is with the VPS, but I could be wrong contact the VPS provider.
