This may be the wrong section, but upon trying to start a new topic on the account selling section I was stopped by a message saying 'You are not allowed to post here' or something along those lines, any idea how to gain this ability?

It might be a post count issue. I think you need a post count of 50 or greater to be able to post in the market section. :)
