Why not a badass client?

Featured Replies

Hello guys, I'm pretty new to this community, but I already think it rules. (1) Well, I'm here to suggest to developers, why not having a client like OSBuddy (Orion)? I think lots of players that bot on their main characters babysit a lot and even play on the client, I think this would be very cool, I'm just not sure about how hard would be to do it. What do you guys think about it? (2) Oh, and one thing that I think sometimes is very frustrating for those who are starting to use bot are those broken scripts (I would say that 70% of the free scripts I used are broken), maybe asking for the community to report which ones are broken and put someone in charge to remove the ones that are really broken. (3) And at last, I'm going to thanks for having this awesome free bot with some free scripts that are very usefull!

I understand what you're saying but I'm not sure if that's plausible. I say this for several reasons: many players don't bot on their main character, scripts usually keep track of their experience gained (in total and per hour) and many features in OSBuddy wouldn't make sense having on a bot client. Surely having quick links to things would be nice and maybe we should have them implemented! But as for things that assist the player in the game aside from macroing that's not worth having. If users want to play legitimately, then they should download OSBuddy. Obviously they're still allowed to participate in all things related to OSBot; in-fact I'm a legitimate player who dwells on here! :)

tl;dr - Why create something that's already created and being focused on by a group of programmers?

The only "add-on" to the client that I would support would be the "Login to chat" function.

Just few example how a legit player could use this client in a 100%-safe-from-being-banned: "I'm cutting mapple and I programmed bot to "beep" as soon I stop cutting" (now change cutting for fishing. change cutting for auto-retalation. change cutting for motherload. and so go on)

This is what I have to say, if you bot on your main account, especially if its a high level main, you're a fucking dumbass.

Why make a client "like" OSBuddy, when you can just use OSBuddy?

OSBuddy is already owned by a Jmod, so it's not like it's maintained by incompetents.

Use OSBuddy instead. If you want it made here because of the pro features, its not that much money for monthly subscription. Personally the only thing that I find useful for pro are the item overlays and farming plugin

Report broken scripts to moderators who will then investigate to determine if the script needs to be removed. As far as the suggestion goes, I don't think we will be implementing such features in the near future.
