"omg the start button is gone" nope, it's not(GET WINDOWS 8.1) "omg i can't search in fkin shit windows 8" that's right, get windows 8.1 and you can(windows 8.0 is shit) "omg there is no start menu" yes, there is explanation What did you pin on your start menu at windows 7? a game, maybe calculator, and notepad or something, well you can put all that on here, just click the windows button on your keyboard OR the start menu button just like in windows 7, and you can choose whatever you pinned on it MUST-PERFORM ACTIONS step1 REMOVE ALL APPS AND SHIT THINGS FROM THE START MENU WHEN YOU SEE IT FOR THE FIRST TIME. everything. later replace with anything you want like explained above(start menu) step2 go to your taskbar, right click -> properties -> navigation check the first one at start screen so you go to your desktop without showing metro, and show your background on start so that it looks really nice step3 enjoy! prepare yourself, for i am going to show you something terrible! you have been warned. ^ this ugly son of a bitch is ugly as fuck. like i said remove all the default apps, use your background image as start menu background, and pin ur own apps WINDOWS 8 IS SO FUCKING SHIT I fully agree with you, get windows 8.1 you tard. windows 8.1 is really nice, the start menu is the same as in windows 7 only it looks cooler, also everything in windows 8.1 looks much smoother than windows 7, and (personally) i like the sounds more IMPORTANT If you get windows 8.1, it boots much, much faster which is really really nice! aight guys now fkin stop hating because i know a lot of you just run along the other sheep saying windows 8 is shit when you haven't even tried 8.1 yourself. The 7-8 transition was super confusing for most people, the 8.1 was an improvement but is still far from perfect, hence why they are moving on so swiftly to 10 (which is essentially a rebrand of 8 with more familiar interfaces, etc..). The back-end never changed from 8 to 8.1, the back-end is so much better, hence the reason it boots so much faster and feels snappier in the OS.
