Isnt 83kg normal? U could build muscle and burn fat by doing so, or u just wanna shed the fat off? Well, if u re doing only cardio exercises, thsts pretty good, but u also could add some lifting exercises. If u dont plan to do with weights(not going to the gym) then u can do at home: bodyweight exercises, such as pushups, abs etc.

Or at park: bodyweight exercises such as pull ups, u can also use dumbbells/barbells if u have any at home, or buy.

Do ya hit da gym or naw?

I don't want to sign a one year contract at the gym tongue.png

I'll just go running and swimming smile.png

Oh and for 179cm:

79kg is "normal"

72kg is "perfect"

Yes mate! i love people who try and get fit, i was 14 years old weighing 72 kg, now im stil 14 weighing 62 kilos, not fat anymore, started muscle building and cardio, although i have to watch out because running burns muscle, But im very proud mate, keep it up ;)

It's not about eating less it's about eating clean.

I work with two guys who compete in physique competitions and one is about to get his pro card. @Hoosiers22 on Instagram is the one about to go pro. I myself workout 5 days a week and want to start competing and it's all about eating clean. Even if it's a lot. You'll gain lean muscle mass and lose fat with the proper training.

As someone said above swimming is by far the best cardio workout you can get. It literally works everything and is easy on your joints unlike running.

What I've always told friends who ask me how to get in shape is this:

1. Cut any Soda out of your diet. It's loaded with sugars and is the worst thing for you.

2. Eat lean and eat clean. Try to keep your carb count down.

3. It's okay to cheat occasionally on what you eat. You need a high carb day.

4. Working out > Straight cardio. Lifting weight will turn your fat to muscle. You might not lose the weight you want but you will be more lean and have less body fat.

5. BABY STEPS. You can't just dive in to it and be expecting immediate results.

Best of luck man. The transformation of the human body is the most amazing thing in my eyes. Support you on this! Best of luck!!

Thanks, you too good luck ^_^

You don't necessarily need to eat less. You can eat a fairly large amount as long as its healthy.

Yeah, there's these things called calories m8.

Partially correct -

Your only pushed to eat healthy because it isn't as calorie dense as fatty foods and overall has more fiber (making you feel full earlier) than alot other foods. You also get certain vitamins and minerals that you can't find anywhere else besides taking supplements.

You do need to eat less. Tell me, If my body burns 3,000 calories, and I eat 3,500, you know where that extra 500 is going to go.

You eat a surplus if your bulking, because then calories (protein) will go your muscles - but you'll gain weight.

It's a different story if you're trying to lose body fat. Weight loss & Body fat loss are two different approaches.

Goodluck brother, I'm currently in a bulking stage

If you ever have any related fitness questions I'm the guy to go to!

Cheers and good luck!

Thanks man :)

You're not that overweight if you thought you were. I'm 5'11" 170-173 (fluctuates). If you're looking to shape up a little, I'd suggest working out and doing cardio along with eating healthy and being consistent. The hardest thing I've found is to be consistent in what you do and when you do it. Become consistent and watch you achieve your goals in no time! :)

goodluck man! only good things will come!
