Not sure how true that is, I have had many people message me hey I reported you earlier you were obviously botting etc...

 

Banned twice on my OSRS acc, both from being stuck in a random or failing a random and being teleported then standing in that spot for hours on end.

 

 

Well i think the only way to really get ban (perm) is if a j mod catches you otherwise its fine just like 1 -1 week ban

Depends on if you use or abuse the bot.

 

I've botted about 24/7 for the past month on one account without a ban.  My suggestion would to stay away from hotspots like rangedguild and flax.

Been botting since 07 with differnt bots and i've recevied 1ban and that was during bot busting on 07 sadly, i was babysitting while woodcutting yews checking every few mins and then i looked away for 20min or so and i was perm banned for gold farming. Just try babysit and avoid highly populated spots like catherby yews, catherby fishing ect. Also ban rate seems high at the moment so watch out

As a "veteran" in runescape (since 04) i can give few tips on botting safely:

 

 

- Dont bot money: woodcutting, fishing, hunter, mining, flax (picking or spinning)

- Dont use random-free areas, even those places seems perfect and safe, theyre not. Pest-control bank is swarming with tryhard reporters and jagex-mods running botbusting events.

- Dont bot longer than u would really play the game ~ + 12 hours is a lot. AKA. dont "suicide"-bot

- Dont bot every skill, quest requirements are usually low (max 50 or so) you can do those yourself  in few hours.

 

 

- One thing im not really sure is which is better: Stay in one world (limited amount of people see you - less reports) or constantly hop - nobody would see you do one thing for 12 hours
