All the people who like or wanted to buy minecraft have bought the game, 2.5 billion dollars is enough money for a person to live like a King

The game was released in 2009.

So that's about 17 million sales in 5 years. An average of 3.4 million sales per year since its release = an average of about 9.3 thousand sales per day.

Look at the number of copies sold in the last 24 hours, still above the daily average. So cut the bs :p

Also, operation costs are extremely low, its player base is loyal to say the least and its target audience very wide. But it might still take up to 20 years to make back their investment from game sales.

But that's not what this deal is about.

The privilege of having their logo on the splash screen of a game that's played by millions of kids, teenagers and young adults on a daily basis is why they bought the game in the first place.

Like I said before, get them while you are young.

It's a brilliant move.

Microsoft is like Google, they fuck up everything they buy.
