How 'safe' is it to bot?

Featured Replies

Hello guys,

Let me introduce real quickly, I'm scarto, 20 years old and live in Belgium. I've played runescape since 2005 or something, and last year i started again with rs 2007 but got a temp ban for 2 days, macroing.

I started playing again last week, and well, i would like to bot again, I.E. Fletching, hunting, high alching at varock west bank world 1,... not the real banneable things like wc, etc. (although hunting might be a bit tricky)

So my question is, is it safe to bot for me? I know it's always risky. My ban was in december 2013.

Greetings!

It is pretty safe. Not on f2p tho. Just make sure you dont bot TOO much. You can bot very well without getting banned.

But remember, there's always chance to bans. So its your choice, bot or dont. In my opinion, its safe, if you do it right!

Good luck!

Don't bot the same thing for a long time, don't bot more than a resonable amount of time per day (I say no more than 4-6 hours).

Following that advice, you can still get banned, so don't bot on important accounts.

It's pretty safe but again, keep it at a low and switch up your skills and you'll be fine. Have fun botting mate :)

You could just bot a different account while waiting for your ban to expire (in december, if you can wait that long). Then when you continue botting on that account, you might be able to spare the account by being let off with a another temp. ban because of your clean record. tongue.png

Botting is not, has never been, and never will be safe.  You bot at your own risk, and you must be willing to lose the accounts that you bot on.  I'd suggest not botting for more than 6-7 hours at a time, and only botting on P2P.  I also suggest using the breaktimer and mixing up the skills you are training.   Only bot on accounts you are willing to lose.

Hope that advice helps
