Do you have to pay for the designer rank? 

 

Because I see some people without the designer rank that are way better in graphics design than some people with the rank.

 

Like Hayhurst for example.

 

I might go for this rank too, but I coudn't figure out how to get it.

Depends, it's all about opinion - I think if you are friends with the owner you might be more likely - but I think it's just earned

Don't lie, Hayhurst is obviously more skilled than EraDesigns for example - no offense to EraDesigns obviously, his/her work is nice aswell but still.

I like both of their work I think they should both be Designer rank

Eradesigns is really active in the graphics section. and Haysurst isn't really active =/

To obtain the designer rank you have to be actively participating in the graphics section and show me a decent graphics portfolio.

As was stated above, i don't think its all about skill but moreover actually having some kind of input on the forums.

It's more of a how helpful you can be to the community then a design rank. Like, say you can help the newbies out and give them good advice, point them in the right direction, and just flat out help them thrive.
