YinZ is a scammer

Fantastic news! You can go ahead and change the password to the account. It doesn't seem clear as to how the account was taken in the first place so a quick run through of your PC using a virus scan would potentially give us a clearer idea of how this happened.

@YinZ it says on the account thread you are the original owner of the email address registered to it. Does anyone else have access to this address possibly?

Nobody else has access to this email. It is the email I use for all important documentation (i.e. uni/bills etc).

Off to bed for now, will respond to any other queries/concerns when I awake.

I never said it, but sorry for the hassle, hopefully it will be fully resolved soon.

Are you able to disable it?

@YinZ will have to disable it and request a clean wipe of the questions/answers. If he gives the account back to keith, it may get complicated.

Why do I have to remove it? I gave him the answers weeks back after it came to my attention that JAG was still on the account, I didn't hesitate to give them to him.

Even after I gave them to him, He didn't remove/try to remove JAG from the account. At first I was under the impression that JAG wasn't on the account, but even so after I was told it did, I gave the answers without hesitation.

Using JAG on the account trying to pin me as the recoverer is just stupid, as even after given the answers there was no attempt to even remove such measures. This said, if I have to, I will remove the questions, but I am sure that @keithrocks is able to do it provided he has the registered email and the answers.

Images me giving JAD answers with dates:

YinZ gave me the answers yeah, i thought i had disabled it...
But even if i do disable it im sure those recovery questions will find a way to bite me in the future, itd be so much better for me if YinZ wiped them for me.

How do I wipe them?

Keith has access to the account.

This is such a ballache. To me, you either disabled JAG or you didn't. You told me you hadn't.

As you have access to the account sign in > account management an click the first tab. If it has not been enabled it should say this:

What do you mean bite you in the future?

Not sure but it's better that you disable them anyway as your IP is the account's registration IP.

The account was created 5 years ago. The IP's are not the same (changed ISP, MAC address wont be the same either, different PC's), and as  I'm at university, so nor is the the creation location.

@YinZ, I can tell you don't fully understand the situation, but it's best if you wipe it, regardless of this scam report.

You can tweet jagex - fastest way - @JagexSupport to request it be removed. Claim you haven't been on RS3 in a while and forgot it. If you have been on RS3 recently, come up with another excuse to get it removed.

Although I know you may mean well, but simply disabling JAG honestly means nothing.

It's the same thing, essentially, as having a registered e mail address on the account and giving someone the log in and password while not changing the registered e mail and trying to convince them that the account is safe and secure and that they have the password so nothing can go wrong.

This is beginning to annoy me, if I am honest.

You want me to disable JAG even though, you say, it means nothing? Then what is the point?

In less then 24 hours I have recovered the account and assisted in anyway I that I  could, I have not made excuses, I have simply tried to help. I understand that whilst I was asked if JAG was on the account I said no, I fully admit that this was a lapse of memory as I believed Jag was not on. Then when asked, I passed over the answers to the questions which I would have used to enable JAG. It is not my fault that HE did not attempt to remove JAG at that time.

For a short period of time, am I able to have access to the account to remove jag? I am sure there is an option within account manager to remove jag?

There is an option to remove JAG with account meananager, @keithrocks if you have the recovery questions and access to the registered email then you should in fact be able to remove the JAG. All you need to do is click "Disable JAG" this will then trigger an email sent to the registered email address containing a link, the link will direct you to a series of Security questions to which you have the answers as well, please enter those and see if you are able to Disable JAG.

Let me know if this works out

This is what ive been saying for god knows how long...

There was no reason why he couldn't remove it when I gave him the answers..

@YinZ, please contact Jagex through Twitter and ask them if they could REMOVE your JAG. They should not be disabled, but be removed.

Yes, i can disable JAG. But if YinZ trys to recover the account in the future, wont these recovery questions be there still? Since he knows the answers it means he can recover it at any time?
