Featured Replies

Okay, so three day's ago I logged out of my account and tried to log back in and it said Invalid Username and Password, like any sane player would I recovered the account and attempted to login again but to my disbelief it said invalid username or password again.. It will let me recover my account but it won't let me login?

This has never happened to me before, and if it was a ban then I would be able to login and check my ban meter right? I'm so lost, has this happened to anybody before?

EDIT: I also tried to make another account with the same name I had and it worked, so my display name has to of been changed.

You are keylogged? lol.

Thats what I thought too, and i posted about it here http://osbot.org/forum/topic/5046-hacked-i-guess/#entry53868, but there is no possible way any human could change my password back that fast and also LiamBaby teamviewed me and ran many anti-virus programs and himself went into my computer and cleaned it out. Also I play on another account on this computer and it hasn't been compromised in anyway and the password has stayed the same.

Well to the anti-virus there are ways of hiding viruses on computers to become undetectable.. But hmm I honeslty don't know... Very very strange.

Yes ik, I use to be into that kind of stuff, but even if the file is crypted it would have to be in a place on my computer to start up with Windows and there is nothing from which or LiamBaby can tell. Also I've tried it on multiple computers not even on my same network and the same thing happens. I'm just befuddled for lack of a better term.

"Hi Character Name Unavailable"

They probably permanently banned your account and some time later they did a sweep on all perm banned accounts and deleted your account. They've been deleting account names of perm banned accounts lately.

In fact, your being able to register it pretty much confirms it.

If no virusses were found and after changing your password several times I'm thinking you just got permanent banned.
Just ask Jagex about more information :/

I would agree they most likely deleted your account, even though I've never heard of this, why don't you try contacting jagex through their support email, or on the forums?

I emailed them 3 days ago and still haven't received a response, and I cannot post on the forums because i can't access my account. Anyways, thanks for the help guys probably won't be seeing much of me anymore.

If I was banned then I should be able to access the game and see my Ban meter, and also I received an email back from Mod Byrne which can be viewed in the link I'm attaching to the bottom. I'm not sure what else to do, but I'm almost positive that I'm not banned because they wouldn't take the time to email me back about this. I hope i'm not banned at least....

Maddeningly unhelpful response from the J-Mod.

Always make sure that the emails come from their verified email address. There is a spot for it on their website. Also, make sure that they have the security SSL or SLL whatever it is, in the address bar. It will be green and say Jagex or something like that.

Another tip, they will always address you by your Character Name.. mine was U MaD M0M one time. My emails were addressed like this:

Hi U MaD M0M!

Just some tips to avoid the fishing emails that people send out nowadays.

Thank you, I always triple check the actual address on the Email sent to me because I get my fair share of imposters. Irregardless I'm always positive it's Jagex before I click a link to the site. Like I said before I use to be into the "hacking" scene like phishers and RATs etc. Anyway I tried to appeal it and they denied it..? This is ridiculous because this is actually my account... Is there anywhere that I can talk directly to one of their employees? Like a customer service number or live chat?
