YinZ Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 (edited) Give you have the chance of winning is 1/2.out of 4 games what is the chance of winning exactly two?true or false, you will win half? answer Cheater Edited June 4, 2014 by Yinz
Aza Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 1/2*1/2 is 1/4 then count the 2 losses = 1/16 1/16 chance you'd win exactly 2 games. Just saying, I'm not the best at statistics and probabilities. Now, saying that you'd win exactly half, I can't seem to work that part out. I'm going to say false though, based on logical thinking.
Jack Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 (edited) 4^2 = 16 total outcomes. 4 ways of winning exactly 2. 4/16 = 1/4 False. Source: Who doesnt know this? 1/2*1/2 is 1/4 then count the 2 losses = 1/16 1/16 chance you'd win exactly 2 games. Just saying, I'm not the best at statistics and probabilities.
