I'm going to assume it's because I botted referrals for the account.

It's been almost a year (account was banned in late June), so I opened a support ticket 3 days ago to try & work something out with them so I can get that account back.

Also, the link for my current account finally updated :)

Yeah, I would never abuse stuff like that to give me a competitive advantage in a game like league.

I've been playing for 4 years, so I feel there is no need to do that.
