What ever happened to that? Is there a new system that is done for people to achieve Designer? Or is it just given for recognition of talent?

The thread was hidden by Maldesto so I guess he didn't really like the system that was set in place to take care of the designer promotions. But yes, for now it is only obtainable if I approve of your work and see you actively participating in the graphics section.

I should of got designer but it got deleted

The point system did not work from the beginning. So it needs to be reorganized anyway.

The system wasn't good. Should have never been implemented. The point system was way to low to give people a big rank and one of the ranks was deleted

Get rid of whole point shit and ranks? Just regular designer rank and head = moderator.

This makes sense. its simple and effective

The system was well thought through and also made a benefit for sotw. It was to be updated periodically to be more accurate and difficult to get the rank but nobody did it.

Not really, it was easy to farm the points if wanted. And as we have seen before, winning sotw does not always mean you have the skills/knowledge to earn point to get specific higher ranks.

Winning SOTW may not always mean that, but in order to when you must have a skillset creating graphics. Also, regarding point farming, that was of no issue. If a member wanted to participate in SOTW, make graphics for the website, help others with graphics (the ways to get points) then by all means they deserve the rank. Keep in mind that the rank could always be taken away and the rank was not a permanent rank, you had to continue to provide in order to keep the rank.
