#JackForScholar Project Ideas?

Featured Replies

Hey everyone,

I've got my eye on the Scholar rank. I'm looking for a project that I can "Show off" my skills in software development. Any ideas? I'm looking for general ideas so I can do sort of a "out of the box" spin off.

Thanks!

EDIT: I should add that I sort of want something that the community would see as "practical"

AIO bot.

Literally AIO.

It can be really good. Every once in a while it switches stats up and trains another stat. You can have a GUI to let the user choose a number of stats to train. Have it bank and get items from bank pertaining to that stat it's going to train next and have it go to the location whether by walking or tele'ing. Make custom mouse movements and paths and make it diverse so jagex won't detect it.

Now get scripting.

I was thinking of a superscript style aio script where members make the scripts themselves and share them. I just write a custom break handler and pathwalker

and the superscript of course

I assume the Scholar rank isn't just about little tiny projects you can do, it's about general knowledge of programming as a whole and being able to incorporate other things into it as well. If you want to get the rank I would guess you would have to have the skills to do pretty much about anything software engineering based (which includes RuneScape related things like writing your own client (not like OSBot I mean full auto updater on a server somewhere, sophisticated mouse algorithm, etc)) that could also land you a job at a semi decent company.

tl;dr I don't think one project is going to get you scholar :/

I agree. But I have a decent background in software engineering but just dont have much to show for it. I know java and c, Im learning c# and im always trying out new languages. I'm going to a very good college next year majoring in software engineering, so I feel I just need to show the community what I can really do. :)

No offence, but if you don't have a portfolio of projects you're not experienced tongue.png
