Mozilla CEO pressured into resigning? Your opinion

Brendan Eich had resigned this week because he was caught giving 1000$ to support Prop 8 in California, a laws that would allow people to deny service to those who are gay because of their religion. Mozilla somewhat forced or pressured him into resigning because of his political beliefs. On twitter Mozilla has said they stand for freedom of speech and expression and a free internet. Are they contradicting themselves, are they no greater than those they fight, are they violating freedom of expression and speech?

The company believes in freedom of speech, but their CEO is funding against it, so it contradicts the whole thing.

The company is fine with his freedom of speech, they just don't feel like someone like that should be leading them.

It doesn't make sense when you think about it, but it's for the best.
