Support abortion.

 

There are many reasons I support it, a few/quite a few of them have been mentioned on this thread already so I don't feel the need to state why. The babies not developed enough for me to consider it murder however, I would classify it murder if someone else killed the undeveloped child as the parent may have wanted the baby.

I'm not for abortion, but then again it depends on the situation.

If a woman is the victim of rape, this is different than someone just not wanting to have a kid.

If you do not feel you're ready to take on a child, you can simply choose to give the baby up for adoption. If you're stingy enough, you can even get payed to do so with a closed adoption. Why would you kill an innocent unborn baby when you can give it to someone else who could take care of him, love him, and raise him/her? Because you're too lazy to "push" when told? Scared of stretch marks? That's consequences of sex, regardless of if you used protection or didn't expect pregnancy.

And I've been told by many people that it was very hard to live with the abortion afterwards. You can't just walk away from killing your baby and be all happy and giddy the next day. With adoption, you may feel somewhat guilty, but you know you made the right choice.

Put them in with the other millions in orphanages whose quality of life is nowhere equivalent to non orphans!

There aren't millions of un-adopted kids in the world anyways...

No offense. But if my baby is Mental I will make my wife abort the fuck outta it. 

 

Against abortion, I hear that people say women make mistakes, but we are now a society that doesn't take responsibility for our actions and apparently that is the norm. You have unprotected sex, guess what, the odds are you're getting pregnant, that was your fault and now you have to live with it, again adoption is always an option. 

 

In terms of rape, how can we punish the child for the sake of a woman's security? By giving that right to the woman, you're denying every right for the baby. 

I feel like people are getting things mixed up here. A fetus will never experience life and therefore will never be sad that it didn't get to experience it. If you abort before a certain time period the "baby" if you want to call it that will not even have a heart, lungs, or anything that makes them even recognizably human. If you look at pictures of a human fetus and a pig fetus at i think it is two or three months they aren't even distinguishable. They look almost identical and so i don't really consider them human. Plus abortion helps science by providing stem cells for research. Therefore it prevents a child being born to a home that doesn't want it and risk the chance of being beaten/abused and could end up saving someones life who has cancer. 

Question: What do you think on terms of abortion? Do you think that it is wrong, or are you ok with it and explain your reasoning.

 

My opinion:

 

I believe that it is wrong and when you have sexual intercourse and you become pregnant, you had the decision and knowledge that a baby would come from your actions, so you shouldn't just have the right to kill it, I do not believe it is just "tissue" but I think it is considered to be a human life.

 

Currently you can go and have an abortion and it is not killing a human life. But say a woman is pregnant and gets shot and both her and the baby die. The man will be charged with two accounts of murder. Which is quite contradictory.

Abortion should be enforced actually.

 

When you have a baby and you don't want it, most people would suggest adoption. But, in reality, there's 200M orphans around the world, and 30M in the US. So, go ahead, put your baby up for adoption, let's see if it get's adopted and if the parents are even good ones.

 

And the only time it counts as two murders is after the second trimester after pregnancy, when the gender can be told.

 

When I was debating about this, I decided to go about it professionally and have a pro/con table for abortion. The following can be seen here:

Pro:

 

The only cost you have to pay is the cost of abortion.

Don't have to worry about raising the baby.

Don't have to worry about adoption.

Don't have to worry about baby being in pain.

 

Con:

 

Your fertility rate will decrease.

 

Of course there are many more to be added, but those are the most dominant ones that are mostly discussed.

 

Let's now bring up another point: rape.

 

If a woman was raped, would she want to have the baby? She was forcibly impregnated. If I was a woman, I wouldn't want to be carrying around a fetus that I did not want to create myself. 

 

And about your point of having consequences with sexual intercourse, yes you do have consequences. But these consequences  can easily dealt with, either with using a condom and the following morning (or night, if you are kinky and have sex in the morning) taking a birth control pill. If these still do not prevent the baby, abortion can be brought up.

 

And of course there is still one last point, abstinence, but that is a problem for another day.

 

EDIT: Another point why abortion should be enforced is that the baby can have many problems.

 

What if the baby was genetically defected and had down syndrome for the rest of its life? Would you want your child to suffer their whole life, and only have friends because other people feel sad for him/her? No. Definitely not.

 

Also, what happens if the doctors informs that you will only have a 5 percent chance to live? You might say yolo and have the baby, but is something that is not even alive or a US citizen yet override your life?

Well i'm like: 50% support and 50% against abortion.

Well there are people who can useda condom or other stuff to prevent getting pregnant.
So if they do abortion i'm against it.

But what if a 16 year old kid got raped by some older man and gets pregnant?
I think she have all the rights to do abortion.

 

What if you go to the doctor and they say your kid will be physical and mental sick.

I think its pretty hard as parents to have this conclusion.
But don't you all want a happy and healthy kid?
Do you think the human itself will be happy?

Abortion is fine in my book. The world is already over populated. If you aren't ready for a child then it shouldn't be forced upon you, its a very large respinsibility.

Well I support it somewhat. If you get pregnant by choice or are accepting of it, of course it's your responsibility. However, if you were abused or something of that sort.. then it's not really fair to say that you're not allowed to kill the baby that you've been given unwillingly. 

I'm all for it.

 

Teenagers that use contrecaption and still get caught out and end up pregnant, will need to abort it.

Rape victims that become pregnant, will need to abort it.

People that aren't stable enough for a child (money wise, or mentaly wise), need to abort it.

 

I don't see anything wrong what so ever.

It's wrong plain and simple, you are killing a life.
