What is OSBot Verified?

OSBot Verified is a new way for users to verify information about themselves as a sign of trust. OSBot Verified validates a user's phone number by calling or SMSing them and giving them a code which they enter here. While we cannot guarantee a OSBot Verified user won't scam or cause other trouble, we can at least ensure we have their personal information on file to provide to scam victims.

Q&A

Q: How does OSBotVerified work?

A: OSBotVerified works by doing two things. First, we require you pay a fee using PayPal. This allows us to tie your OSBot account to a PayPal account and covers the cost of OSBotVerified. (We pay per phone call/SMS message.) Second, we verify your phone number by giving you a PIN number over the phone or through a text message. OSBotVerified is a fully automated process.

Q: What if a OSBotVerified user scams?

A: If a OSBotVerified user scams, and OSBot staff verifies that a scam took place, we will release the scammer's information to the victim. This includes any and all information we have including, but not limited to, PayPal account information and phone number.

Q: How much would OSBotVerified cost?

A: OSBotVerified fee is $8.00 USD.

Q: Why should we implement OSBotVerified?

A: Being OSBotVerified shows users that you have provided us your personal information. This is essentially a gesture of trust since your information will be provided to law enforcement should you scam other users.

I agree with this. But honestly, gl calling the police and saying " I got scammed my rsgp". They will literally laugh their balls off.

inb4 trolls download a free sms/voip app to bypass this

"Personal information", only PayPal and a phone number? I don't use PayPal. I think that there are many people who don't even have PayPal. And you could make a fake PayPal right? And the phone number.. It could be a fake one or whatever. I don't see how you are verified if you connect PayPal and your phone number to OSBot. What would/could the victim do with this information? Nothing.. Plus who's gonna pay 8$ for this :').

How does this even help at all? Now that I payed my $8 I can go buy gold and chargeback 1000s, how does this stop that? Also last time I checked, a text cost me like 6p, not 8 fucking dollars.

If there going to contact you on the number, how can you give them a fake number?

I think its a good idea  I think the only two things needed would be:

ID - Passport / Driving Licience ( Showing Picture, name and address.

Telephone Number: Telephone Number that will be verified via text ( as stated above)

I'll take on the persona of a scammer to show you why this won't work.

I'll use proxies on PayPal to claim unauthorised transaction.

I'll use a cheap throw away prepaid phone sim for phone verification.

better make an "osbot bank account" where you can place lets say 10m and then you are insurance for 10m by osbot

or the same with an $ insurance on osbot

Sounds good.

Let me give some guy gp so he can send OSBot some money so they'll have his info instead of mine.

I also have an app downloaded which give and a number. I literally enter a zip code and it gives me a choice if numbers to choose from. I'll enter a zip code in California, that way no one will know I'm from CT.

I'll just scam and be in the clear.

Too many loopholes. Not to mention that some people don't even have a Paypal not a phone. And I hardly think a $8 fee with ensure someone being legit.

People can easily fake getting this rank... Then customers will put even more trust in them seeing as how they're OSBot verified and end up getting scammed even larger amounts.

I can see this being abused.

This is just a suggestion out of my mind. It can be changed to Passport/Drivers license and like $50,00 fee included etc.

then again, not many people would do that.

ID verification would be the best, has to match your paypal or any form of way of buying items you have.

There's no way in hell I'm giving a copy of my passport/drivers license just to use the market here/become verified.
