Can't Connect To Remote Server

Obviously MANY users are having this problem and it has NOTHING to do with firewalls or software.

I do NOT download ANYTHING and use this laptop SOLELY for OSBot.
NOTHING has changed. This is a problem with OSBot and users with Windows 8 or something, I have no clue but it should be addressed.

I PAY for scripts that I CAN'T use .

Edit -

I also know for a fact that it is NOT my anti-virus or firewall.

I have not made any changes whatsoever to either.

I also have tried disabling my firewall and that did not resolve the issue .

Error connectting to server If you're encountering this error when the bot is up and running, something on your end is blocking the connection between the client and the server, this is commonly fixed by port-forwarding or granting port 50050 access, this can be completed by following this easy to understand guide on how to port-forward;http://osbot.org/for...ort-forwarding/

Have any of you tried this?

Please try what Allen has suggested than report back so we can get this resolved, thanks!

I've tried most of them, but I failed with the port forwarding. Either way I dont think that's the problem, cuz it worked a few days ago! :(

That's exactly what it was.

I moved locations so the router that I had connected to had specific settings on it not allowing 50050 to go through I assume.

I had to manually add 50050 port to my router.

Thank you very much for all help.

Try deleting the local.dat file in your OSBOT folder. See if that helps.

This can be a number of reasons:

  • Your connection is having difficulties stabilizing and continues to disconnect/connect to the server

  • The server itself is having trouble stabilising and is either under a DDoS attack in which you cannot connect to the server

  • You have a program IE: Antivirus or Firewall blocking the download between your computer and the OSBot servers.

Example:

If you have Norton as an anti-virus, It is most likely the reason OSBot will not connect. You need to turn off the "Smart Firewall" for it to connect.

Hopefully this helps. Regards,
