IMPORTANT FIX

Maybe only making scripts monthly, that way if there's an issue, we can just take it off the market.

I agree with this even if its only 1 cent.

I tend to agree with that as well. The whole idea of lifetime scripts doesn't work when scripters just abandon scripts all of the time. I'd propose leaving the current scripts "grandfathered" into the current system and making everything from now on based on a monthly fee (or every ___ months or whatever) for ___% of the original price.

There needs to be more regulation in the area though, because at the moment, we pretty much allow free market rules to prevail, which apparently doesn't work very well.

I like your suggestion Maldesto of holding the first 10 sales, too make sure it's going to be constantly updated, and make the payment only when they've proven it's going to keep getting updated.

I would be even willing to add something to the script when you agree to buy it that you are paying for the first month and after that its free.

I don't like the idea of every script being required to have a recurring fee. Instead, why not just have a system implemented so scripters can only be paid for their work 7 days after the user purchased it? This way they have a 7 day "trial" period so they can request a refund if something is broken.

Also, while were on this topic, PLEASE ADD INSTANCING.

That is the whole problem after they've had it a month and the scripters stop updating we get stuck with the refund. What we need to do is make it like I said you are paying for 1 month and its free after that so that you are only entitled to the first month.

Well in defense of all scripters you can't expect every single one of us to stay around until the end of time. When a user purchases a script they are also buying into the scripter themselves, and the hope that the scripter will provide consistent updates and not leave. It's not OSBot's fault that they were given a script to resell and the scripter just got up and left, why should they provide a refund? Obviously if the script get's broken within a few days of the users purchase a refund would be the best idea, however if the scripter leaves after two weeks or so that's just bad luck for the purchaser.

Exactly why we need to change the lifetime? You can't claim lifetime and expect people not to ask for a refund, that is why we need to sell the script for 1 month and free after that.

Example: 7b41397d28d7c835ba64713f4d830b35.png

This would be 14.99 for 1 month and then free after that, so basically lifetime for 14.99, but to stop refund requests every time a script writer stops developing a script after a month.
