Goldfarmers/ Botters love to panic

Featured Replies

i genuinely think that botters gather @ night to write stories to scare each other. i mean, seriously, people have been preaching, predicting, looking through their crystal balls for months, saying OMG THEY WILL RELEASE THE SAME SYSTEM RS3 SYSTEM ON 07/ OMG THEY WILL RELEASE THE KRAKENNNN

IF they wanted to do that, they probly could have done it a long time ago, 07 has been out for almost a year, their systems arent that complicated, they have hundreds of employee, probly thousands, if they wanted botters gone, we would be gone

they also released 07, BEFORE they started the mass RS3 bot bans, realllly? coincident??? no fuckin way

ANYWAYS, POINT OF THE STORY IS, STOP PANICING, ATLEAST WAIT TILL WE HAVE SOME EVIDENCE? a few people with REAL BOT DETECTION BANS MAYBE, SOMETHING SOLID??? damn

Yes they could of released the anti-bot system on rs3 a long time ago, but they didn't. That doesn't mean they won't ever release it.

It means theyll release it ASLONG as there is an alternative, ATM there isnt, so they wont be releasing it, unless they decide to start their own client for botters, in which case, there will still be botting

EDIT - ALTERNATIVE; another way for botters to still bring the $£

Alternative to what?

Botters are jagex main income, so yeah..

More bots = less interest from legit players. Less legit players = less demand for botted items and $/M drops. Less legit players = Less interest Jagex events and less interest from investors.

All legit players hate bots, and I know when I played legit that it's so annoying knowing you could gind out 10 hours of Slayer only to see some guy have a script do it.

It's unwise to assume Jagex need us, because, to be honest, they would probably gain a lot of old players who quit because the bots got out of hand.

On topic:

Jagex didn't release an automated bot detection system in the early stages of the game because it didn't get enough votes. There was a poll, and at a certain amount of votes there would be new things added to the game. Basically, this was because Jagex needed to see that there was enough interest in the game to invest time/money into it.

Obviously making a bot detection system is a lot of hard work, so clearly they didn't want to implement one if 07 was just going to have 5,000 players, and if it was likely going to die after 5 weeks online.

Now that 07 is slowly becoming more and more mainstream, Jagex needs to keep legit players playing. And the best way to do that? Ban botters, the people who make legit players feel cheated.

With a greater focus now on 07, I believe that Jagex is going to put a lot of effort into stopping bots. But as we've always said, botters are always one step ahead of Jagex. I can see a lot of bans in the near-future, however, with the release of OSBot 2, and the release of more and more premium scripts, there will be a safe way to bot. Whether or not it takes days, weeks, or months, it will happen.

Your story makes sense

close this thread makes no sense and going no where holy crap kids just making posts for nothing

Lol, i dont think its as bad as they say, but i do think jagex is implementing more bot busting features and stuff. Before long, the they're going to get the NSA to let them have access to your webcam to make sure you're actually sitting in your chair.

I'm still not going to take the risk, I got enough things I wanted to stop for a bit. Plus homework has got me occupied anyways.
